One of the most repeated questions by patients is the redness after a hair transplant. As a Restorative Clinic, we’d like to let you know that it’s completely normal for the redness to appear after the surgery, due to implanting hair follicles and their healing process.
It mostly happens to patients with lighter colored skin.
It takes for the redness to disappear between one to three weeks.
There’s nothing to be worried about when facing this symptom.
Since numerous tiny holes within the donor area and transplanting range are opened, and the roots are put in new canals, there can be some scabs and crusts.
You will see that your scalp turns white and/or swell as well.
